A new restaurant venture for my colleague Neil Feuling and his business partner and chef Rick Ortiz, Local had a tight deadline for creating a range of materials. They had a strong conceptual base, though they needed to transform their ideas into something tangible and create a powerful brand identity.
Taking their original concept, I designed their menus, billboard signage, box labels and web banner ads. Additionally, I designed the layout for the restaurant’s business plan, which helped Local secure their initial pre-seed capital. Despite the limited timeframe, I managed to get all the pieces into place ahead of schedule and Neil and Rick were awarded second place after presenting their concept and branding at DePaul University.

"It is with distinct pleasure and without reservation that I recommend Naty Botero and her company, Botero Design, to all businesses looking for professional design agency services. As President and Founder of DePaul Kellstadt Marketing Group, I had the privilege of working with Naty on the development of brochures, signs, billboards, posters, and more. From her outstanding work on these early projects, I knew that I wanted to partner with Naty in the future. Naty has a unique style of design, but is able to collaborate with clients by listening intently to the brand attributes desired and then asking the right questions to ensure the right direction for the design elements of a project. Tight deadlines are never ideal for a designer, but Naty is able to quote realistic job completion under significant time constraints and still produce high quality work. Naty also goes above and beyond the design aspects of the projects she works on and is very helpful in final content editing. In fact, just recently, as a Consultant with Cutting Edge Hospitality, I hired Naty to develop the brand design for a new restaurant concept but she quickly became more than a designer for hire. Naty worked with our team to redesign the presentation of the restaurant’s business plan, menu design, billboards, web banner ads and more, which has helped secure initial pre-seed capital. What most impresses me about Naty is her personal drive to help others. She completed design work pro-bono for DePaul University and in the process showed her exceptional ability to transform ideas into ingenious imagery. Naty is helping people make their dreams a reality by getting words off the page and into graphic design. For anyone that wants to give their organizations or projects a visual life, they should look no further than Naty Botero & Botero Design.”

“Natalia is a pleasure to work with. My partner and I needed material in a short times notice and Natalia was able to produce. We had the name and concept of our business, but we did not have the marketing material to launch. Natalia helped capture the look and feeling of our new venture.”
